The  LOVEGROVE  family

This was the first time Clare and I had returned to Crete in several years. For Izzie it was the first time.
We flew with easyJet to Chania and were transferred by a mad taxi driver to Georgioupolis where we had booked a self catering apartment.
Arriving in the middle of the night, we were a bit wary of the accommodation, but in daylight it turned out OK.
The whole holiday was very relaxing. We hadn't even hired a car. Transport was either by public bus to Chania or Rethymnon, or by "train" to Lake Kournos, where Izzie was able to swin with turtles.
